This is an image of the Denton House in earlier years. I got this picture from the nice people at the Town Clerk's Office of North Hempstead in Manhasset (LI), NY. One of the employees, Ruth, made sure that I got all the information and pictures I could get during my trip. She asked the town historian to see me the same day, made sure the paper work was expedited within an hour, and was happy to do it. She was very nice to me; I am so grateful for her.
There are many articles in which Luther Burbank is labeled The Wizard of Horticulture. In his time, plant breeding was a novel science and his plant developments were quite innovative. This is a picture of Burbank in his younger years. This is a picture by Shaw from the website, Historical Biographies@suite101.

I wanted to add that although the people who fought to keep the house from being demolished are happy that the house was made into a historical landmark, documents state that some are not particularly ecstatic about the fact that it is a McDonald's; but, it is the lesser of two evils.
