Technology at BCC

Bcc student ID

All students, faculty, staff must carry a validated bcc id whenever they are on campus and it is also necessary to access the campus computer labs, library, and other campus resources.

Benefits:

  • Borrow library books
  • Access to library and fitness center
  • Present id to enter campus and events
  • Use id to print at one of our campus computer labs
  • Use validated id to access your e-portfolio

Tips:

  • To obtain your college id, bring a zero balance bill to the college id office, located
  • colston hall, 5th floor
  • All fulltime students have $25 on there id to print at any of our campus computer labs, if
  • If your card gets depleted, you may add more cash to your id card at one of the kiosk machines.

 

Bronco ID

At BCC, your Bronco ID is used to access your BCC Student email, OSSESS, PC Login, BCC Wi-Fi, and E-portfolio.

OSSESS

Benefits:

  • Check your midterm/final grades
  • Obtain your final exam schedule
  • Send a e-Message to Professor or Staff of BCC

Tips:

  • Use OSSESS, to claim, reset, or change your BRONCO ID
  • Quick Log in access from your OSSESS account, directly to your other BCC Technologies, such as E-Portfolio, Degreeworks, BCC EMAIL, CUNYFIRST

BCC Email

Benefits:

  • Quick Email Accessibility to your professors, advisors, fellow classmates
  • Receive emails about current events and broadcast going on campus.

Tips:

  • Link your BCC Email to your cellphone for easier and faster access
  • To sign in to your Student BCC Email use your Bronco ID username and password
  • All BCC student can download a free copy of Microsoft office, including work, PowerPoint, excel to your personal computers, tablets, etc

 

CUNY Portal

CUNY portal is a collection of services that CUNY provides its students that includes access to blackboard, degree works and the e-mall.

 

Blackboard

  • CUNY’S online distance learning system.
  • Some of your professor will use Blackboard to encourage online coursework.
  • Submit work online, take tests, work in groups and post on discussion boards.

 

Student Degree Advisement Audit (DegreeWorks)

  • Check your degree requirements, credits applied toward degree
  • Calculate GPA
  • Estimate how many semesters will it take to graduate

 

CUNY eMall

  • As a CUNY Student, you can take advantage of special discounts on computers, office supplies, fitness membership on the CUNY eMall
  • Enjoy huge savings on software at the CUNY e-Mall, such as free anti-virus and Microsoft software.
  • Enjoy discounts on movie tickets and theater shows.

 

CUNY First:

CUNY First is CUNY’s system form managing student’s registration and financial aid information.

Benefits:

  • Quick and Easy Class Registration
  • Review and Pay your Tuition Bills
  • View your Grades

Tips:

  • CUNYFIRST requires a separate log in username/password, remember to write down your username/password somewhere safe.
  • Remember to update and keep your personal information such as mailing address, email, phone current by updating on your CUNYFIRST account
  • Issues with access your CUNYFIRST ACCOUNT, visit the Technology Service Center, RBSC 308
