This e-Portfolio provides alternative assignments for faculty of the Bronx Community College Modern Language Department. The resources include sample exploratory writing activities and ideas of scaffolded high stakes writing assignments for upper level courses.

While the scaffolded high stakes writings assignments might be useful when planning Writing Intensive (WI) courses, exploratory activities are just brief exercises and provocations to be used as "writing to learn" tools in-class or as homework. both types of resources can be freely adapted to fit specific languages and activities.
